If you have a sweater or other knit item in need of alteration or repair, you have come to the right place. For over 20 years Knit Alteration & Design has provided quality alteration and repair of better knit garments to clothing stores and retail customers. We work exclusively on knit clothing.

Most knit items, including fine knit cashmere sweaters, wool sweaters and designer knits can be altered and repaired very successfully. This includes brand names like TSE, Loro Piana, Dale of Norway, Belinda Robertson, and many more.

You can have sweater sleeves shortened, knit hems altered, and many other knit alterations professionally done.

Moth holes, burn holes and tears are repaired by reknitting. When we reknit, rather than mend holes, the results are far superior. Holes and stains repaired by reknitting blend into the fabric of the garment. In most cases yarn from the garment is used for an exact match in the color, weight and fiber of the yarn. Many other types of damage like snags, runs and breaks in seams can also be flawlessly repaired. Our customers are often amazed when looking at finished items.
